The History Of Hot Bikini
Hot bikini is a fashion item that is loved by men and women alike, and adored the world over. It was invented and launched in 1946 by two French designers: Jacques Heim and Louis Reard. Heim was a swimsuit designer who had created a two-piece suit to be sold in his beach shop in Cannes. He marketed the swimsuit as the “atome”. It was named so for its small size and meant to be compared with the atom, the smallest particle of matter known. No doubt, it was an outrageously tiny swimsuit. The same year, Reard was creating his own similar, two-piece swimsuit. He named and marketed his swimsuit as the bikini, claiming that it was “smaller than the smallest bathing suit in the world”. Reard named his swimsuit the bikini in honor of experimental atomic bombs being detonated in the South Pacific, near the Bikini Reef.
This two piece women’s swimsuit has been through radical transformations over the years. Now bikinis are available in a wide range of different styles and trends. Bikini styles run the gamut from the sweet and cute bikinis to the downright sexy bikinis. And of course, all bikini styles in between. You can even mix and match your bikinis yourself, with bikini tops and bottoms sold separately for your creative convenience.
